WHAT IS VIRTUAL WEDDING PLANNING?
At Ho’okipa Events—we offer the same traditional wedding planning, but for a fraction of the cost. Virtual Wedding Planning covers all the time-consuming tasks and money-saving tricks. With Virtual Wedding Planning, our services include vendor research and acquisition, budgeting management, wedding day timeline generation, RSVP & guest management and more!
HOW DOES VIRTUAL WEDDING PLANNING DIFFER FROM TRADITIONAL WEDDING PLANNING?
Depending on the service you select, traditional full service wedding planners are with you from start to finish. From unlimited calls, emails and face-to-face meetings, to design planning, catering tastings and day-of coordination, full service event planners really hold our client’s hands through the entire process. But this comes with a price tag, with our full service wedding planners starting at $12,000 on average.
Virtual planners offer very similar services — but at a fraction of the cost. Since a lot of wedding planning is behind the scenes work (i.e. lots of research and reaching out to request proposals), you as the wedding couple don’t have to be a part of that process. That’s what makes virtual planners so great. They handle all of the vendor research, proposals, and budget stuff.
The one thing that they does not come with Virtual Wedding Planning is Day-Of Coordination for your actual wedding day. For some couples, this could be a deal breaker, but for others it’s perfect because many venues come with a day-of coordinator, making an additional in-person planner not necessary.

That’s certainly an option if it’s in your budget! A full wedding planner can make such a difference in the aesthetic and logistics of a wedding. However, our consulting sessions are a middle approach with DIY resources and advice to help you pull off your dream wedding without a high cost. If you want to be involved in the planning of your own wedding, that’s when our resources and consultations provide the best support.

They can be great for many different reasons, but we recommend them (as opposed to traditional in-person planners) for couples if:
• You’re on a tight budget
• You’re just too busy as it is
• You travel a lot for business or are just too on-the-go to have face-to-face meetings with a traditional planner
• You’re pretty confident with what you want for your wedding, but just need some extra help organizing and executing throughout the planning process -
